APRIL-Girl child initiative

The Aran Foundation recently hosted an insightful and much-needed webinar on “Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Puberty for Girl Children”, focusing on education, empowerment. The event was a resounding success, drawing participation from parents, educators, and caregivers eager to support young girls through one of the most important phases of their lives.

A Safe Space for Awareness and Learning

The session provided a safe, stigma-free platform to address essential topics related to puberty, hygiene, self-care, and emotional development. Discussions also included how to build independence in daily routines, especially for girls with additional support needs, emphasizing inclusivity and compassion.

Inspiring Keynote by Chris Evangelin: A highlight of the event was the keynote address by Chris Evangelin, whose thoughtful and empathetic insights set the tone for an empowering dialogue, emphasized the importance of early education around puberty and ADLs, particularly for girl children, and highlighted practical strategies for both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners.
