Aran Foundation recently hosted a specialized workshop for volunteers, centered on the principles of Psychology and Communication Therapy and its connection to child psychology. The workshop was designed to help volunteers understand the holistic approach behind this approach, which combines speech-language strategies, behavior management, sensory integration, and emotional support.,The session offered valuable insights into how communication difficulties often stem from deeper psychological or sensory needs. Volunteers learned how to observe, respond, and interact with children in ways that promote connection, reduce anxiety, and encourage expressive communication in natural settings.
The workshop also emphasized the importance of patience, consistency, and empathy in building trust with children and their families. By the end of the session, volunteers felt more confident and prepared to play a meaningful role in Aran Foundation’s mission of inclusive, integrated care. This initiative reflects our belief that informed volunteers are vital partners in creating lasting change for children with communication challenges.
